Covid-19 Basics: Disinfecting Cultural Resources

This webinar on isolating, cleaning, or disinfecting historic materials was part of the Facebook live video, streamed on March 23, 2020. It was hosted by Mary Striegel, a conservation scientist with about 25 years with National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT).

This video was posted as part of an initiative under NCPTT’s Materials Conservation Program, which works in partnership with parks, laboratories, government agencies, universities and others to understand how cultural objects deteriorate with time.

Some of the key questions addressed in the webinar were:
