This tutorial provides a basic understanding of different categories of Augmented Reality (AR). It can be accessed through the website of the Virtual Reality Archive Learning (ViRAL) project, an Erasmus+ project financially supported by the European Commission.

The tutorial outlines examples, tools and methods to incorporate AR into cultural heritage education programs. It provides examples of AR applications in the cultural heritage sectors, in addition to a step-wise guide on creating a low-cost museum guide by leveraging Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies. This includes detailed instructions on installing an NFC application and configuring NFC tags. Besides this, the tutorial provides online references to project reports, blogs and software programs to enhance perspectives on the possibilities offered by AR.
