An Introduction to Emergency Planning and Preparedness

This course discusses the emergency planning process required to develop emergency plans and preparedness frameworks. It is offered by Coventry University through Future Learn, an online education platform.

Responding to a fire is different to responding to a flood. Different actions and different resources are needed for each of these scenarios. Through this course, participants are trained for preparing a community for an incident. It prepares them for creating plans for identified risks and implementing mitigation measures. It explores the relationship between the type of emergency and the type of response required to understand how these dependencies shape the emergency plan.
