This journal publishes peer reviewed research from the field of Conservation Science in Cultural Heritage. It can be accessed through the website of the journal, hosted by the University of Bologna.

This international journal covers the study of the interaction between artifacts, environment, and biota, also considering contextual elements of historical-artistic knowledge, such as authorship, art movement, and socio-economic background. The journal also publishes methodologies and analytical techniques used for the characterization of historical artifacts and for the evaluation of their conservation state. The scope of the journal extends to art diagnostics and evaluation of the authentication of art works; evaluation of the methods of conservation including data processing and virtual re-elaboration of historical artifacts.
