History of Art: From Prehistoric Art to the Renaissance

This course explores the evolution of art through time. It is offered by the University of Palermo through Coursera, an online education platform.

The course teaches analysis of the development of the visual arts from prehistoric periods to the artworks of the Renaissance. This includes studying pre-Hellenic art, Christian art, and Romanesque churches. It exposes learners to the relationships between artistic processes and their historical, social and economic context.
