This course discusses how Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) is related to sustainable development. It is offered by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Academy through edX, an online education platform.

The course illustrates how ICH is relevant to resolving contemporary challenges such as natural disasters, conflict and health. It explains the linkages between heritage and sustainable development in promoting resilience and well-being within communities through the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDG Academy is the flagship education platform of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative for the United Nations.
