Migration and Cities

This course explores the relationship between the development of cities and migration. It is offered by the European University Institute (EUI), through Future Learn, an online education platform.

In this course, participants will discuss how migration has influenced the emergence of cities through a range of factors such as local policy, public spaces, employment and settlement. The course also explores historical context of migration to explain contemporary migrant issues. It examines the scope of local policy in facilitating international migration. Through the course, participants will reflect on conflicts and cultural dynamics emerging from settlement and integration of migrants.
