Description*

This course provides an overview of the Roman culture from the early Iron Age (ca. 1000 BCE) of Roman culture to the 1st century CE. It is offered by the University of Arizona through Coursera, an online learning platform.

It illustrates the role played by key personalities in shaping Rome's history including the Roman republic and the empire. Through the course, participants will learn the evolution of culture, architecture, and arts with the expansion of the Roman Empire through the Mediterranean and beyond.
